"Westworld" episode 8 revealed more details regarding the Man in Black (Ed Harris) and more flashbacks connecting Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) to her past. Episode 9, titled "The Well-Tempered Clavier," will contain major events such as more information about the Maze, Dolores' past, and Maeve's (Thandie Newton) plan to break out of the park.

The official teaser trailer for the episode notably shows Maeve being analyzed by Bernard (Jeffrewy Wright). However, to his surprise, she suddenly grabs his hand, indicating that she is ready to reveal she is no longer controlled by the system and is fully self-aware.

It is widely speculated that she may know Bernard is also a host and could be launching a plan with him to fight back against the administrators to get out of the facility. However, this would pit Bernard against Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins).

A scene in the trailer also shows hosts telling the Man in Black that the mysterious "Maze" was not designed for him. This is immediately followed by a shot of a violent bloodbath, in which only a lone survivor is shown standing amidst numerous corpses. The identity of this survivor is unknown, although it is speculated to be Teddy (James Marsden).

Gamespot also shares the official synopsis for the episode, which states both Bernard and Dolores will discover the truth of their past. The report states this could mean Bernard will re-discover deleted memories such as how he murdered Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) and if he killed Elsie (Shannon Woodward).

Dolores, on the other hand, may unlock the truth regarding the town she and William (Jimmi Simpson) visited in episode 8. One popular theory about the show suggests that Dolores was speaking to Arnold and not Bernard in the sequences where she is being analyzed in a basement. This episode may touch upon the truth of this.

"Westworld" episode 9 will air this Nov. 27.
