HBO's "Westworld" became one of the most popular shows of last year, and its second season is currently filming. Recently, a casting call was announced as the show seeks extras for a scene that will be shot in the Ridgecrest area of Kern, California.

The announcement was made via the Ridgecrest Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Moreover, the casting call was posted on their website. The first notable requirement is that the applicants' appearances must fit the 1890s aesthetic, as most of "Westworld" is set in the Wild West. Men can either sport a rugged look or are clean-shaven. As for the women, having a long hair is required.

Accepted applicants will be paid for their work, but the casting call did not say how much. Filming will start in the Ridgecrest area next month, and the show will need hundreds of extras.

Filming for "Westworld" is at a much faster pace than ever, as creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy seem to be eager to finish the second season early. Ed Harris, who plays the "man in black," revealed last month that they have finished filming some scenes for episodes 1, 2, 4, and 10.

"They're committed to having the scripts done to shoot so we're done by Christmas," Harris tells Collider in an interview.

"Westworld" is a science-fiction television series based on the 1973 film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton. It features a theme park that offers the 1890s life for those wealthy enough to afford it.

Aside from the Wild West theme, the 1973 film also contained a "Roman," "Medieval," and "Samurai World."

It is a safe bet that these three worlds will make an appearance in the show's second season. When asked why these three worlds were not included in the show before, creators Nolan and Joy told Deadline that they had to "save something for season 2."
