What TV channel is Super Bowl 50 2016 on now? Live stream, TV schedule, start time for Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers NFL game

Super Bowl 50 takes place on Sunday night with the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers going head to head to see who will win the 2016 crown. The game will take place from Lexi's Stadium in California and has a scheduled start time of 6.30 p.m. ET (11.30 p.m. GMT). The game can be watched on the CBS TV channel (or BBC 2 for those in the United Kingdom), or online through the CBS Sports live stream link below.

This will be the first time the Levi's Stadium has hosted the Super Bowl of course, with the giant 75,000 seater stadium only opening in 2014.

In addition, there will be millions of NFL fans watching on TV around the world, as the Carolina Panthers attempt to complete an extraordinary season where they only lost one game.

For many pundits, the Panthers are the overwhelming favorites. They have been the most complete team consistently throughout the season, and with Cam Newton in record-breaking form at quarterback, most believe if they can play at the level they have all season long then this could be another comfortable win for them.

However, writing off the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning would be a dangerous thing to do. Manning has not only been one of the greatest quarterbacks in the game over the past decade, but indeed he has been one of the best of all-time in the NFL. His team will be hoping to help him to another Super Bowl ring here today. Many believe this could be his final chance at nabbing another Super Bowl title, and that will only add to the storyline underlying today's big game.

The Broncos will have seen how the Panthers played this season, and also will have reviewed how they demolished a strong Arizona Cardinals team in the NFC Championship game to get here. They will know they will have to play at their absolute best on both sides of the ball if they are to gain an unlikely win today.

Manning has not been his usual spectacular self throughout the season, and he has had to deal with questionable form as well as injuries - an increasing challenge for someone about to hit 40-years of age.

However, Denver fans will point out that Manning and the Broncos came face to face with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on their way to today's game, and overcame the reigning champs as well as arguably the best quarterback of his generation in Brady. Manning looked to be back near his best in that game and that bodes well for the Broncos as they will need Manning firing on all cylinders to counter this rock solid Panthers defense.

The Broncos feature the league's best defense as well, and that should pose a huge challenge for the Panthers offense, and it will be interesting to see how well this Broncos defense can get in Newton's face and disrupt him. But the quarterback has come up against big defenses this season already and has wiped the floor with each of them, and he will be confident to do more of the same today.
