While our salvation rests in the finished work of Christ alone, meaning we can never add to it, our life as Christians isn't one that should be characterised with doing nothing and entrusting every single detail to the Lord. We aren't called to a life of a come-what-may attitude disguised as "faith in God."

Rather, we are called to live by faith.

Faith is "the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

By faith, we find the strength to do our part, because we know that our efforts to do what God wants will never fail. By faith, we know that when we pray, God will respond. By faith, we know that we will never lack or be left in need because God will neither leave us nor forsake us. By faith, we live our lives as Christ-followers.

By faith we know that God won't do all the work for us. Instead, by faith we know that He will empower us to do what He wants, just like what He did to Abraham when He called him out of the land he was in, to go into a land he did not know. By faith, we know that God won't feed us with food while we lay down lazy and sluggish. Instead, by faith we know that God supplies us with the power to produce wealth. By faith, we know that we can live the Christian life.

Life in Christ

The Christian life, a life founded in the faith authored and finished by the Lord Jesus Christ, is a life that has no room for purposeless meandering. The Lord Jesus Himself said He is the way, the truth and the life. Because of Him, there's no place for passivity in Christianity. There's only a life of abundance, purpose and meaning.

The Way

The Lord Jesus said He is the way. His way is the only way to live: to do the will of the Father. As Christians, our lives do not belong to us. Our dreams aren't supposed to be for ourselves. They're all for God.

The Truth

In a world full of illusory desires and self-serving visions, Jesus in the only One that remains true and authentic. He is the only One who lived among humans according to how God wanted it to be: a life without sin, lived for God alone. His gospel is the only truth that we need to know, understand and live out.

The Life

The world presents to us various lifestyles, yet all of these lifestyles go to eternal flame without Christ. If we love our lives, we will do well to lose them for Christ's sake. If we want joyful, satisfying and fulfilling lives, we must live for Christ and for Christ alone.
