A wife doused her husband with beer at a baseball game at Wrigley Field on Sunday.

The Chicago Cubs played the New York Mets on May 19, when Cubs' pitcher Travis Wood hit a home run in the fifth inning. The ball was flying towards a man's wife and he tried to protect her from it, but spilled his beer on her while trying to do so.

The wife, angered by the spill, decided to pour the beer onto her husband as well.

The couple was caught on camera and became the subject of talk for baseball fans.

The unnamed wife explained herself to MLB.com after the game: "I just got livid. And took my beer and splooshed it in his face. I figured if I'm wet, he might as well be wet too."

However, the pair was happy and laughed about it while giving each other a high-five.

The Mets edged the Cubs 4-3 in yesterday's game. The Cubs led 3-1 into the seventh before Daniel Murphy hit a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning. "It was really nice to put a good swing on that ball," Murphy said, according to Miami Herald.
