Three former Wimbledon champions will look to add another title to their trophy case with Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova taking the grass court in London for day 1 of Wimbledon 2015.

Serena Williams will kick of her first match against 113 seed Margarita Gasparyan at the no. 1 court as she starts her quest to snag a sixth title. But to do so, Williams knows for a fact that the task of doing so will not be that easy.

"There's a part of me that believes I can still do it," said Williams to BBC Sports. "But it's definitely not easy to do."

Maria Sharapova, the no. 4 seed, will be looking to nab her second Wimbledon title. She starts her quest against Johanna Konta at the Centre Court where she is a heavy favorite to win her first match. However, she cannot take Konta lightly especially with questions surrounding her health.

Sharapova was unable to join pre-tournament matches due to health issues and had to undergo some tests.

Over at the men's division, Novak Djokovic will start his title defense against Philipp Kohlschrieber. It will be the eighth time that the two would be facing each other with Djokovic dominating most of the matches as expected.

But that should not discount the possibility of Kohlschrieber pulling off an upset, especially with the Serbian's current state of mind.

Djokovic is still not yet 100% over Roland Garros, having lost the French Open Final against Stan Warinka.

"Roland Garros [French Open] final was not easy. .... I needed some time to just mentally recover" Djokovic said via the LA Times.

Like Sharapova, Djokovic did not participate in pre-tournament practices and apparently he used the time to somehow mentally recover from the Roland Garros final.
