Gabe Aul, Microsoft's vice president and the head for the engineering systems team, announced last March 17 the Windows 10 Build 14291 for the PC and Mobile. The latest build features something that the Windows 10 community has been clamoring for for quite a while now, the Microsoft Edge browser extension.

Aul announced the latest update in a blog post. It includes extensions for their home-grown browser, the Microsoft Edge. Edge browser users will now be able to get and add extensions like Mouse Gestures, Microsoft Translator and Reddit Enhancement Suite. Aul added that the company is still working on additional extensions, which will be added in the future. This feature is currently available for the PC only.

Drew DeBruyne, Microsoft's general manager who is responsible for developing Microsoft Edge, stated in another blog post that there are currently more than 50 different languages that can be translated automatically by the Microsoft Translator and they will be adding more. He also said that Windows 10 users can also expect extensions coming from AdBlock, Adblock Plus, Evernote, Last Pass, Amazon and several more.

Additionally, Microsoft Edge users can now pin tabs for their regularly visited websites to make it easier to navigate those Web pages. Once pinned, a page will be located at the very beginning of the tab row. Users will not be able to accidentally close down these pinned tabs since there is no close button on them, but they can always be unpinned if the user chooses to.

The Maps application also comes with an update with the latest build. Users are set to experience a more responsive and consistent UI in the program because of architecture improvements. Windows 10 Mobile users will also experience this particular update.

Other updates included in Build 14291 are the updated Alarm and Clock application, with an improved time picker interface. A Japanese one-handed kana touch keyboard also comes along for easier use.

Other fixes included for PC users are for misaligned notification, Wi-Fi network issue with WEP encryption, Microsoft Edge being off-screen on 9-inch devices on portrait mode, USB icon reverting to an older icon and a Microsoft Edge results issue.

Windows 10 Mobile issues fixed in the latest build include the WEP issue on Wi-Fi, slowness in text input, Word Flow recognition for long words and touch issue during Photo selection.

Aul added that Microsoft has acknowledged several PC and Mobile version issues and will address them with the next build.
