The Windows 10 Anniversary update has been launched for desktop owners but the mobile version has yet to see a release. According to a report from MS Power User, the developers at Microsoft are claiming that they are working hard on getting the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary update out within the next couple of weeks.

"Right now, the team is laser-focused on preparing to release the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to Mobile devices and we think we're almost ready. You can help us out by making sure you are running Build 14393.67 (KB3176931) on your phone and sending in feedback on any issues you run into via the Feedback Hub," explained Windows Blog writer Dona Sarkar.

Sarkar continued to explain that the custom was to release a new Windows 10 update for desktops first and then release the mobile build a few weeks after and this is the same practice being done for the mobile version of the Anniversary Update.

In the mean time, a report from Windows Central reveals that Microsoft has launched a cumulative update, update 10586.545, which is designed to fix several bugs and may be necessary when upgrading to the Anniversary update. 10586.545 is already available for mobile users to download and install to keep their Windows 10 phone up to date.

A full list of the features that the Anniversary update will introduced have been listed on MS Power User. Some of the new features include the ability for all Live titles to update all at once on the Start menu instead of being updated one-by-one. Cortana will be available in several new languages and the back-button on the lock screen will be replaced with a camera button.

Edge and EdgeHTML will also be significantly updated and there will be multiple updates for the settings as well. Some of these include the ability to hide Quick Actions not in use, Kids Corner will no longer be featured and up to 16 apps can be run in the background now.
