Windows 10: Common problems -how to solve them

The Windows 10 finally made its debut this year, but the relatively new operating system (OS) is not without its problems.

Fortunately enough, many of the more common problems that have plagued the Windows 10 OS are fixable.

One common issue has been just about trying to get Windows 10 itself to activate. The OS should be activated right away after it has been installed, but that doesn't happen for every device. If this is the problem, then users are advised to wait at least a few days for the OS to activate. If nothing happens by then, they can choose to contact Microsoft to get their OS activated. This assumes that the installed copy of Windows 10 was a legitimate one, of course, according to BT.

Now that the new OS has been installed, people may want to start surfing the net right away, but the new Edge browser may be proving problematic. Microsoft Edge is the default browser for Windows 10, and even though promising, it still has a few kinks that need to be worked out. If this is the case, users can simply use a different browser for now and resume using Edge when it's in better condition, according to ZD Net.

Some folks may have been using their personal computers (PCs) to watch their favorite DVDs; unfortunately for them, Windows 10 does not have a designated app for such purpose any longer. The solution to this is relatively simple as users can go to the Windows Store and download a recently released app for this very purpose or even get the popular VLC player.

At some point or another, people will run into problems leading some of the apps to crash in Windows 10. For third party apps, users can try to uninstall and then install those applications once again. For global apps that are malfunctioning, resetting Windows may be the solution.
