Running a series of posts designed to further entice its audience, tech giant Microsoft has listed why an upgrade to its upcoming Windows 10 platform is very much needed. 

According to the post on the official Microsoft blog, one of the most noted changes, or a "throwback" for some Windows 8 users, is the return of the familiar Start button. The previous Windows 8 and 8.1 versions were criticized by many since Windows opted to remove the iconic button, concentrating instead on the platforms' adaptability for touch surfaces. 

However, the Redmond tech giant also stated that not only did they bring the Start button back, they also made some key changes to its functions. The new Start button on the Windows 10 platform makes it more convenient and easier to access apps, functions, and files since the Start button also incorporates the new Live Tiles feature of the platform – pinning favorite apps right in the Start button itself. 

In addition, Windows 10 will take away the burden of crashing apps due to missing drivers or broken installations. In the upcoming platform, updates will be installed automatically. Although others may think that it will burden the device, Microsoft assures users that although it is automatic, the update downloads and installs in the background and will not be a hindrance to the owners using the device. The automatic updates will cover everything, from security through optional updates and data drivers. 

Microsoft had also taken down inadvertent restarts after updates, a problem for many users of previous platform versions. In Windows 10, users will have a choice on when to schedule a reboot after the automatic updates.

The post and video released is just a start, and Microsoft is planning to update users with other teasers and posts about new features such as Cortana, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Hello in the upcoming days building up to the July 29 Windows 10 launch.
