With all the recent product updates and launches that had been going on these past few days, Microsoft does not want to be outdone.

Just recently, the rumor mill was abuzz with the latest speculations about Microsoft's newest product, Windows 9. Though nothing had been confirmed yet, the public still wants to know what this latest tech innovation is all about.

First off is the supposed release of the Windows 9 preview. There are reports circulating online about the possible release of the preview on Sept. 30. After the announcements about Apple's latest products like the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, the Windows 9 teaser could probably be the next biggest announcement in the world of technology.

Another recent news about Windows 9 is the inclusion of a notifications center in its System Tray. According to Digital Trends, the notifications will be arranged according to apps, and the users will be able to release individually or all at once with a single click of a button.

In another update, Softpedia reported that Microsoft is planning to rebrand their products to make things a lot easier for their worldwide customers. According to the article, the tech giant is preparing to let go of its usual numbering system for its latest Windows releases. So for Windows 9, the company may just simply call it "Windows" instead.

Softpedia explains, "The idea behind this significant change is the confusion created by the existing Windows 8 versions that are at this point on the market, and which reportedly caused quite a lot of trouble for those who wanted to purchase a new device running the modern operating system."

Also, reports about the new Start menu had been discussed recently. There were talks saying that Microsoft will reconsider its decision to pull out the Start menu on all its mouse-first gadget.

Windows 9 is allegedly coming on April 2015, if the reports are correct.
