Microsoft took to Twitter to post an invitation to a live stream event. Through a GIF, the company urged its followers to stay tuned for some announcements that will be made on May 2. The post reads, "Learn what's next." The hashtag is also hard to miss. They tagged #MicrosoftEDU under it.

Techradar suggests that the white space on the image invite indicates a cloud cover. A clever design that reportedly indicates that Microsoft is planning to showcase the rumored Windows 10 Cloud.

The hashtag, however, is more intriguing. Little is known about Microsoft's plan, but EDU could easily stand for education. With that in mind, the tech industry is starting to wonder if the upcoming Windows 10 Cloud will somehow be incorporated with Chromebooks.

Some reports believe that Microsoft will launch Windows 10 Cloud instead of unveiling the rumored Surface Pro models. Contrary to what a few unknowing tech enthusiasts believe, Windows 10 Cloud does not run in the cloud. Most probably, it is a new version of Windows RT.

Earlier reports have suggested that the Windows 10 Cloud has nothing to do with the cloud. The cloud is a new version of Windows 10, which has been simplified. Reports say that it could compete against the Chromebook and the Chrome OS. However, if Windows 10 Cloud is not designed to become useful for Chromebooks, Microsoft must have been discreetly perfecting a new device category for the new operating system.

Hopefully, all questions will be answered during the event, code-named "Bespin," on May 2, which is expected to begin at 9:30 EDT in the morning. Unfortunately, there are no signs that the Surface Pro 5 of Surface Book 2 will come up during the event.
