With the "Game of Thrones" live-action series steadily progressing in its sixth season, fans are getting even more hyped for the next book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, "The Winds of Winter." However, time and again he said that the book will not be out any time soon.

Earlier this month, the author posted an excerpt from this highly anticipated book on his own website, which reads from Arianne's point of view. Of course, this means a lot to fans, since for now they're satisfied that the book is still progressing, regardless of the pacing. But that doesn't stop fans from speculating on the other contents of Martin's upcoming book.

According to iDigital Times, it could be possible that "The Winds of Winter" will feature a second Battle of Blackwater, which might become one of the biggest climactic battles in the series. After all, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms is located in King's Landing, where Blackwater Bay is located. For those reading the books, King's Landing has only been attacked once in the series' current timeline, excluding those from preceding historical events.

The "Clash of Kings" book featured the first Battle of Blackwater at its climax led by Stannis Baratheon against those loyal to his supposed nephew, Joffrey. Just as Stannis was about to win, Tywin Lannister, backed with House Tyrell, arrived on the scene and with their combined forces drove off the invader.

If the rumors are true, then it's expected for Daenerys Targaryen to lead the siege against Blackwater Bay once again. It might be possible for her to succeed where Stannis failed, since she has the combined forces of the Dothraki, Unsullied, the Slavers Bay inhabitants and the Khaleesi's dragons. As it stands, this assault would certainly test King's Landing far more than its previous siegers.
