Fans who have been waiting for the latest major update that would greatly expand content for one of the most highly-regarded game titles of the year are in for some good news. Patch 1.07 has been released for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." Mentioned some time ago, developer CD Projekt Red had said that the update is a huge one and will bring major changes and fresh new content for the game.

The update is deemed so extensive that it rolls into one massive performance improvement and introduction of some new features and content for the game. Coming in at a download size of almost 7 GB, the patch builds on performance and graphics enhancements, and adds new features like additional cache locations for the main protagonist and massive changes to the game's inventory system.

According to the patch changelog for the 1.07 update, posted on the developer's forums, aside from the new content and gameplay and performance fixes, it also introduces fixes on a number of known glitches and issues within the game. In addition, the new update also brings with it the 14th free DLC expansion for the title, a free costume change for character Ciri.

However, it seems that not all the changes and fixes were listed. According to some players who have posted in different online threads such as gaming forum NeoGAF, the update in the game also includes changes in some requisites for armor gears, such as upping the level requirements for the Enhanced Ursine Armor from 22 to 25, and the Enhanced Feline Gear from 19 to 23.

Meanwhile, other players have also reported experiencing some new bugs since the update. Apparently, patch 1.07 includes performance hits that that made graphic frame rates unstable. The developer said that the company is already working on the reported issues.
