'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Scavenger Hunt guide - Viper, Griffin, Bear, Wolf gear and more

The Witcher 3 website

Scavenger Hunts are additional quests in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" that players can take on to get powerful Witcher items such as complete gears and weapons. There are specific clues and diagrams hidden within areas in the Witcher world that the player must find in order to complete each specific Scavenger Hunt.

Viper School Gear

To be unlocked in White Orchard, this hunt can be done alongside the Lilac and Gooseberries main quest, the objective of which is to find the diagrams for all of the elements in a Viper School gear, a Serpentine Steel sword, and to find Witcher Kolgrim's remains. The first clue for the hunt can be found near the Ransacked Village in the East of White Orchard, near a watchtower, and will end with Geralt investigating an old mill near Woesong Bridge and the White Orchard Cemetery.

Griffin School Gear

The quest can be done after the The Nilfgaardian Connection main quest, and the Griffin Witcher Gear is the first real set that has all the diagrams located in one area, The Velen region. Once completed, the gear can also be upgraded in enhanced, superior, and mastercrafted versions.

Feline Witcher Set

Once the player reaches Novigrad, Geralt can also complete a Witcher Gear set from the Feline School. The complete set consists of five armor pieces, two swords, and one crossbow. The hunt activates by collecting any of the pieces and picking up a diagram.

Bear School Gear

The complete set from the Ursine School is compatible to players who have a tanker build since the gear consists of heavy armor. There are also seven pieces of the gear in total to complete this set, and starting the hunt is also unlocked by collecting one piece of the set and picking up the diagrams.

Wolf School Gear

One of the newest Scavenger Hunts added to the game, the gear can be unlocked by downloading the free DLC first.
