The first expansion pack for "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" has just been released. Prior to the game's launch in October, it was announced that three downloadable content (DLC) packs would be released. The DLC packs would take place after the main events of the game and would shift the game's focus from Private BJ Blazkowicz to three new characters and their own personal tales.

The first of the three DLC pack is titled "The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe." It is now available for players of "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" to check out.

The announcement for the DLC's release was uploaded to Bethesda Softwork's YouTube channel on Dec. 14. The announcement gives players a quick glimpse at the DLC's content.

In "The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe," players take control of professional quarterback Joseph Stallion.

Joseph was living the American dream, he was a famous football player, and he had his entire life ahead of him. Things were looking great, at least, until the Nazi's invaded America. He was taken, prisoner. Joseph was unwilling to accept his fate, he knew that if he gave up, the Nazi's would get rid of him. Instead, of rolling over and allowing them to kill him, Joseph decided to fight back.

He made it his purpose to destroy the commander who had taken away his freedom.

The trailer then shows fans a handful of the ways in which Joseph can take down his Nazi foes. There are plenty of guns, plenty of explosions, and plenty of weapons of destruction to try out in this new DLC.

The first DLC in the "Freedom Chronicles" package, players can look forward to two more releases sometime in the near future. Here are the upcoming DLC packs:

"The Diaries of Agent Silent Death:" Set in California, this DLC focuses on the ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant. This DLC will feature her sneaking into Nazi bunkers.

"The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins:" Set in Alaska, this DLC focuses on Army Hero captain Gerald and his quest to dismantle Operation Black Sun.

All DLC content will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
