Another promotional image was posted on "Logan's," formerly called "Wolverine 3," Instagram account. The upcoming movie stepped up its marketing campaign and let its R-rating speak for itself.

A new black and white image of a severed hand was posted on @wponx. It is on the ground, holding on to a shotgun, surrounded by several footprints. It seems that the rightful owner had a little altercation with Wolverine that did not end well.

"Logan" will be the first film in the "X-Men" series that has an R-rating. All previous movies were classified as PG-13, so fans can expect extreme movie violence. Several more photos, similar to this, could be released before an official trailer lands in the near future.

Prior to this, movie director James Mangold uploaded on Twitter a picture of an older Professor X (Patrick Stewart). It was earlier revealed that the Professor has become unstable. His mind and memory are also fading to the point where he cannot even remember whom Logan is.

On the other hand, fans already have an idea of the status Logan's health, that he is "older" and "it's clear his abilities aren't what they once were," as revealed by a photograph a snippet of the screenplay that Mangold tweeted. It is then speculated that the original Weapon X mutant is not that strong anymore and that he could probably even suffering from some kind of sickness.

It was also revealed earlier in the week, along with a movie poster, that the movie's official title is, "Logan." The poster showed Logan's hand, with the adamantium claw extended, holding one hand of a child. Fans are speculating that the child is believed to be X-23, Laura Kinney in the comic books. It was also wildly guessed that it was Deadpool's regenerated hand, which could mean a cameo appearance. Ryan Reynolds added fuel to the fire when he posted that it was indeed his hand holding Logan's.

"Logan" will be the third Wolverine movie. However, it will be the last one for Jackman. It will hit the big screen on March 3, 2017 in the United States.
