Attention! Telling people to keep quiet in a movie theater could land someone in the hospital.

All moviegoers know that there are rules to be followed inside the theater. Never prop feet up the seat in front. Never use the phone inside the theater. Most of all, don't talk loudly during a movie.

A woman inside a Colorado theater asked her fellow moviegoers to stop talking loudly during the movie. As a result, she got a fractured nose, a black eye and a number of scratches.

Last week, Melissa Piper went to watch a movie at the Century 16 Belmar Theater in Lakewood, Colorado. During the start of the screening, Piper caught three people in her row being rowdy and loud by climbing on top of their sears and horse playing with each other. She said that she politely asked the three to quiet down, but they ignored her. Piper then yelled at them and the attendees shut up after a security guard entered the theater.

Speaking with Inside Edition, Piper detailed that the injuries she sustained while walking towards her car after the movie.

"I heard screaming behind me. I turned around and this girl was on top of me. She was just screaming. She punched me in the face and my glasses came off. She kept hitting me and all I think is 'I can't hit a child so tried to grab her and hold her away from me,'" she said.

The girl ran off after hurting Piper. Lakewood police are now looking into the matter. They have launched an investigation into the attack and are looking at CCTV footage from the night of the incident.

Aside from this incident, the attack on Piper isn't the first to happen in the vicinity of a movie house. Last month, a riot broke out at a screening of the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor in the United Kingdom.
