World Vision and Premier: Bringing life in all its fullness to every child

On Wednesday 5th May, 'World Vision' and 'Premier' joined together to combine forces in targeting poverty and bringing fullness into children’s lives. Over the next twelve months, they aim to make a lifetime of difference in the lives of 400 children.

Premier’s presenters will be sharing the stories of children who need help. In one month, they are committed to seeing 80 children experience the life-changing gift of sponsorship.

Today, in the developing world, one child dies every 3 seconds because of the basic lack of safe water, healthcare, shelter or food - the things are often taken for granted.

The Premier’s Children’s Advisory Committee was set up to cover child care, linkages and transitions between maternal and child health, preschool and primary school, and the contemporary focus of maternal and child health and parenting services.

“Improving the quality of life of the world's poorest people. It costs just £18 a month to sponsor a child - just 60 pence a day to change a life - that's less than the price of a bottle of mineral water.” says World Vision.

Through the provision of basic healthcare and immunisation, and helping train the community to become agriculturally self-sufficient, this is all about improving their chance in life.
