WWE Wrestlemania 31 rumors: Is The Rock fighting Triple H? WWE Survivor Series setting up plot for Wrestlemania 31

With Wrestlemania 31 just few months away, WWE President and Chairman Vince McMahon is making sure that all stories from here on out will set up the biggest show of the coming year. This involves using the WWE Survivor Series to build up the matches for Wrestlemania.

One of the most important groups of wrestlers that will take part in the Survivor Series is Team Authority, and McMahon is making sure to target the group. Last Monday Night Raw, McMahon started to shake things up by putting a bulls eye on Triple H's back. Apparently, McMahon wants to end his son-in-law Triple H's reign as well as his daughter Stephanie McMahon's and the Authority.

In the 5-on-5 Elimination Match set in Survivor Series, McMahon added a stipulation that forces Authority to win the match. If they don't, Triple H and wife Stephanie will step down and relinquish all their power in the WWE.

The vendetta of McMahon will not end in Survivor Series. Rather, it's just part of the bigger plan and that is the biggest showdown to be seen in Wrestlemania 31. McMahon's always one step ahead and this time, he is planning something really huge — Triple H vs The Rock.

According to Lords of Pain, multiple sources speculate that the return of McMahon on Monday Night Raw was an indication that the WWE is going with the Authority vs McMahon storyline, which will culminate in Wrestlemania 31.

Also, the site said, "You may remember that WWE had Vince McMahon advertised for some RAW events around this time but he was later pulled and did not appear. The plan was for Vince to return and build a power struggle feud with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for WrestleMania XXX. At one point, WWE wanted to do Steve Austin vs. Triple H. That feud obviously never happened as the idea was dropped."

Last month, The Rock made an appearance on Monday Night Raw, too, and it was followed by a taped segment between him and Triple H. The 6-minute clip was hilarious but more than the fun and games, everyone's hopeful that the two veteran wrestlers will go at it in the ring one last time, for all time's sake.
