Wrestlemania 32 rumors: Stone Cold Steve Austin rejects comeback

For perhaps the second time, Stone Cold Steve Austin is making it clear that he has no intention of getting back in the WWE ring.

Apparently there are new rumors suggesting that Austin could be returning to the ring again, and it will most likely be at Wrestlemania 32 next year.

All this came about when it was learned that Austin, also known as the Rattlesnake, will be appearing on the cover of the WWE 2K16 video game.

With Wrestlemania 32 taking place at his hometown in Texas, it seems obvious that he could make an appearance. But he will just be around and won't wrestle.

This douses all previous talk of a comeback. Austin and Paul Heyman earlier toyed with the idea of the wrestler returning to the ring to face Brock Lesnar.

But Austin explained that he was simply caught at that moment by a sudden adrenalin rush.

In a recent interview, he cited the case of NBA legend Michael Jordan, who appeared on the NBA 2K11 cover some years back. While his Airness did appear, it didn't necessarily mean that Jordan would be returning to the NBA.

Since Austin has long retired from the WWE scene because of injuries, a sudden return is not feasible and in fact, could be catastrophic since everyone knows the level of punishment that Brock Lesnar could inflict on an off-form Austin.

The Rattlesnake loves to be part of Wrestlemania 32 but not as a wrestler. With Wrestlemania 31 proving to be a resounding success, Austin knows that Wrestlemania 32 will be better.

While other retired wrestlers like Hulk Hogan are aching to wrestle again at the annual WWE extravaganza, Austin is satisfied with just making an appearance, chugging down some beers and giving some poor wrestler a Stone Cold Stunner to get the place rocking.
