WrestleMania 34 has been announced for April, as last week's Royal Rumble gives fans an idea of what to expect in this year's clash of the titans.

The most notable news is the participation of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion, Ronda Rousey. She made her debut in wrestling last week with a guest appearance on Royal Rumble. The mixed martial arts star has since signed a full-time deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which is believed to be a long-term contract spanning multiple years.

According to an article by Wrestling Inc., there are plans for Rousey to face off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a tag team match. Rousey's partner for the match has not been confirmed.

Rumors that WWE has been looking to set up a match between Rousey and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson versus The Authority are circulating, but would not likely happen due to The Rock's buy schedule filming his upcoming movies. There are also rumors that Rousey could be up against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

According to the current storylines and developments from Royal Rumble, fans could be looking forward to some very big matches including Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, Alexa Bliss versus Asuka for the Raw Women's Championship, and The Miz versus Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura versus A.J. Styles is also a favored match for the event, following Nakamura's victory in the 30-man Royal Rumble and his announcement challenging Styles.

WrestleMania is WWE's flagship event and its biggest show each year produced for both the Raw and SmackDown brands. The event was first held in 1985 and has had 33 annual shows since. This is the 34th WrestleMania, and the second to be held in the state of Louisiana.

WrestleMania 34 will be held on Sunday, April 8, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana at 4:30 P.M. CST.
