'WWE 2K16' news: characters revealed by 2K Games at E3 2015

Early this week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, sports video game developer 2K Games dropped the names of the WWE wrestlers who will be featured in the soon-to-be released "WWE 2K16" video game set to come out later this year. 

According to the announcement, several WWE Superstars and a Diva are confirmed to be among the included characters in the upcoming game. The first six roster members are WWE Superstar wrestlers Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, as well as Bad News Barrett. NXT Superstar Finn Balor amd WWE Diva Paige are also mentioned to be included in the list. 

The artworks that show all the mentioned roster members was put on display at the 2K Games booth in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center during the E3 2015. 

Meanwhile, several other professional WWE wrestlers previously announced that they are also going to be featured in the new "WWE 2K16" game, including Sasha Banks, Rusev, Rosa Mendes, as well as Zack Ryder. However, 2K Games has yet to confirm if their self-proclamations are true. 

"WWE 2K" is known as one of the best-selling video game franchises in the world. As of 2009, around 37 million copies have been sold worldwide. The upcoming "WWE 2K16" will follow the "WWE 2K15" title, which was released in October 2014. 

Players should expect to hear more character roster news for "WWE 2K16" in the coming weeks leading to the game's release later this year. It is scheduled to be released for different consoles, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on Oct. 27 in North America, and on Oct. 30 in other parts of the world.
