Ronda Rousey probably does not need any introductions being one of the most famous female Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC superstar, but she surely got the big welcome she needed when she first stepped in the WWE ring. From being a UFC to a WWE Superstar, Rousey has finally made her WWE career official.

The news of Rousey joining the WWE is not something new. The news was first brought a month ago during the Royal Rumble when she announced her plans of joining the show. It was just a matter of actualizing the deal as many fans were quite doubtful of her career shift to the WWE.

Being in a completely different discipline, Rousey has to start from the ground up and she knows that. "First of all, I want to earn your respect in this ring," said Rousey acknowledging her fame from UFC. "I don't want to be treated any differently than anyone else."

The former UFC women's bantamweight champion — although she made her contract official — has not exactly fought in a match yet. That is the last step in solidifying the start of the WWE career and to finally silence the doubters. Rousey will be able to do just that on April 8, 2018 during the WrestleMania.

Rousey being in the WWE, which at first seemed like a joke, does quite make sense given her capabilities. Besides her physical prowess, she has a charismatic attitude that can definitely get the crowd going. This is especially the kind of viewership that UFC needs.

Rousey has built her fame in more than just the world of UFC. She became the very first American Olympic bronze medalist in judo in 2008. She also maintained an undefeated record of 12–0, until her loss to Holly Holm in November 2015.
