WWE 2015 news: Will WWE couples take part in mixed tag match?

Rusev has yet to see action after suffering that injury which has sidelined him last May, but it looks like this will not keep the Bulgarian Brute out of the WWE scene.

The looming feud between him and couple Lana and Dolph Ziggler is still in the air, and now there is a new player in the fold – Summer Rae.

Summer entered the fray when she consoled a dejected Rusev.

As it turned out, the whole scenario may have ended up in another union of sorts, with Summer Rae now by the side of the injured and former United States champion.

Both couples faced off at RAW (June 29, 2015), a moment where Ziggler and Lana made public their supposed relationship. Rusev apparently did not take the announcement quietly, interrupting with Summer Rae at his side.

The segment eventually saw Summer slapping Lana on behalf of a ticked off Rusev and a catfight ensued. The segment can be viewed below:

Afterwards, Rusev was interviewed by Eden. And as one would guess, Rusev took exception to the public announcement of Lana and Ziggler's relationship.

"Why would they do this?" Rusev asked. "Why did they go and announce their relationship? What is this? I never announced anything. Just do something, whatever you have to do."

From the looks of it, there will either be a looming women's match between Lana and Summer Rae soon or even a possible mixed tag match for the quartet.

But all that would depend on several factors, mostly on the male figures. One is there is no word when Rusev will be given the proper clearance to compete ever since he suffered that foot injury in May.

The other has to do with the status of Dolph Ziggler. The Show Off has yet to re-sign with the WWE. The contract is reportedly still up for negotiations, so this storyline could very well depend on how that turns out.

Remember that Ziggler was demanding a big push before his contract ends this September. There is no word if that will be included in the contract.
