WWE 2015 rumors: Will Kevin Owens lose his title to Finn Balor in 'Beast in the East'?

Current WWE NXT champion Kevin Owens is set to face babyface Finn Balor at a special event called Beast in the East which will be held at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo. It is likely that Owens will lose his title.

Owens is becoming a prominent figure in the regular WWE roster, and on numerous occasions, he has been feuding with Cena. And while there have been no title changes thus far, losing the WWE NXT title could be a step towards something juicy like maybe putting up the United States title on the line.

There are widespread rumors that Owens will likely lose his title to Balor in a move that some folks disapprove of. Not that Owens is a good champion, but the successor has been tagged as someone being built as a champion a wee bit too early.

At present, Owens is acting out a heel role and against the face of the company in John Cena. But their recurring rivalry has proven nothing out of the ordinary storyline and has become more of a battle for superiority.

So will a title tossed in the mix ante up the stakes a bit? It could all depend on the outcome of that Owens vs. Balor match which, according to a source, will see the title change hands.

If that happens, Owens will simply be losing not only the title but also his popularity. He was a perfect fit in the WWE ranks and could gain more if he moves up and faces other wrestlers aside from Cena.

If he does lose in the Beast in the Event showdown with Balor, expect Owens to make aggressive runs and eye the US Title. If one follows the program, he could likely win it at first try and then a recurring feud will once more happen. If not on the first try, perhaps the second one could be the charm.

Cena has proven thatr he could hold any belt with gusto in the WWE and surely, he can easily make another serious run at the WWE Heavyweight title once the Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar and maybe even Roman Reigns angle dies down.
