Shane McMahon may be experiencing a change of heart and is expected for a heel turn, where a bad-guy may become good or vice-versa.

The upcoming Survivor Series may see McMahon returning as the de facto antagonist or "big bad guy" from his status in Monday Night's (Oct. 23) Raw, or he may get replaced. Bryan, one of the direct threats to McMahon may be the one to take the spot from him, though given the circumstances website Sportskeeda has suggested that McMahon is likely to do the heel turn between the two of them. This was due to Bryan's contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) coming to an end in Sept. 2018, as well as McMahon enjoying more popularity between the two.

That said, their fame may discourage them from undergoing a heel turn. As it is, the rumors are not that viable given how one of the two will also have his contract expire next year. One thing is certain though; McMahon is expected by fans to wrestle in SmackDown's Survivor Series team as the Captain.

Survivor Series will be one of the rare opportunities of the year where the champions of Raw get to wrestle against the champions of Smackdown. Reports are that McMahon will do a 5-on-5 Men's elimination match against Kurt Angle in the Survivor Series.

The Angle and McMahon rivalry is heating up as the two are both team Captains and general managers of their respective Raw and Smackdown brands. Also, the trouble that McMahon has caused for Angle during the Monday night Raw back on Oct. 23 was notorious and has set the stage for the intense Survivor Series showdown.

During the Monday night Raw, McMahon's Smackdown team surprise attack saw the assault of the "Blue Team" against the wrestlers of Raw. Fans can expect the furious retaliation of Angle's "Red Team" of Raw champions on or before the actual date of the Survivor Series.

Survivor Series 2017 will begin on Nov. 19.
