'WWE 2K15' PS4, Xbox One release dates push through; DLC, Season Pass for PS3 and Xbox 360 not upgradeable

After experiencing a slight delay in its release schedule, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of "WWE 2K15" will finally push through on Nov. 18 in North America and Nov. 21 in Europe.

Xbox One users can start ordering the game from the Xbox Store, but they will not be allowed to play until 12:01 a.m. PST or 3:01 a.m. EST on the date of release itself.

Players have two options when buying the game. One is the "WWE 2K15" pre-order edition that costs $59.99, which contains the standard game as well as two bonus versions of Sting. The other one is the $79.99 Deluxe Edition, which has two versions of the legendary wrestling icon Hulk Hogan as well as the equally popular WWE character Sting. It will also give them an access to the 2K Showcase Season Pass that primarily "brings you more action and excitement from WWE 2K15's all-new 2K Showcase Mode."

However, those who purchase the Deluxe Edition for "WWE 2K15" on last-gen consoles like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will not be able to use the Season Pass or other DLCs on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

Marcus Stephenson, the community manager for "WWE 2K15," answered a fan's inquiry about this on his Twitter account.

A player who wants to upgrade to PlayStation 4 asked if the DLC is transferrable across consoles, but Stephenson replied, "Apologies that you're not enjoying it, man! Enjoy the new experience! You do have to re-purchase the DLC, yep."

Same is true if the game uses the same profile on the "WWE 2K15" Season Pass DLC. It means that once the gamer buys the version for a last-gen console, they have to repurchase the game and all its DLCs if they want to experience it in the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

"WWE 2K15" is developed by Yuke's and Visual Concepts, and it is being published by 2K Sports.
