2K Games announced that the official "WWE 2K15" release date is pushed back by three weeks, particularly for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The new release date for these next-generation consoles have been set for Nov. 18 in North America and Nov. 21 in other countries.
The game's version for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 are still slotted for Oct. 28 in North America and Oct. 31 worldwide, as initially planned. However, there have been no official dates for digital pre-orders for the PS 4 and the Xbox One versions, and no news whether the PS 3 and Xbox One will be having a digital version.
"Visual Concepts and Yuke's are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles," Visual Concepts President Greg Thomas explained. "The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations."
2K Games is also expected to launch a limited "Hulkamania" edition that is comprised of a copy of the game itself along with a collectible card signed by Hulk Hogan, a Funko "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vinyl action figure, and a piece of authentic ring canvas from Hulk Hogan's appearance on "Monday Night Raw" last March 10 in Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition, two exclusive characters for pre-order (Hulk Hogan and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan) and access to the WWE 2K15 international pre-order Sting playable character pack get thrown in as well.
The "WWE 2K15" has also been announced to include Superstars, Divas and Legends along with a MyCareer mode, a Showcase mode for players to reenact well-known feuds, and a Create-A-Fighter mode. Being a collaborative effort by Yukes and 2K studio Visual Concepts, the ESRB has given WWE 2K15 a rating of T for Teen.
