'WWE 2K16' updates: Another WWE Diva joining the character roster?
"WWE 2K16" will feature the most number of characters in the history of the franchise. One of the newest fighters to join this big bunch is WWE Diva Eva Marie, who said via her Instagram account that she was filming a commercial for the upcoming wrestling simulation game.
While her inclusion has yet to be made official, the red-haired diva starring in a promo for the game pretty much seals the deal. This will be Marie's debut in the franchise, and it will be the first time fans will see her in the ring through the video game.
Other confirmed female fighters for "WWE 2K16" include WWE Diva Paige, Diva Rosa Mendes, and NXT star Sasha Banks. 2K Sports isn't even halfway in unmasking all wrestlers in the pack.
Confirmed stars include Seth Rollins, Bad New Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, Rusev and Zack Ryder, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was recently revealed as the cover star for the upcoming title. It remains to be seen which wrestlers will complete the roster, which will have 120 unique playable characters.
The development for the game is on top gear, with the release date drawing closer and closer. Developers at 2K Sports recently detailed in two respective clips posted on YouTube the more accurate cloth simulation in the game, and Finn Balor filming a motion picture for the title.
Notably, Balor was also seen in previous clips for "WWE 2K16" where he recreated his famous finisher, drop kick and his reaction after being hit by an opponent or being injured. He was seen doing some entry sequences and he was also filmed clamping the championship belt.
"WWE 2K16" is poised to feature the most realistic representations of wrestlers, near-perfect depictions of crowd reactions, an overall wrestling atmosphere and the definitive in-ring fighting experience.
The game will be released on Oct. 27.
