"WWE 2K16" is well underway. Take-Two Interactive already picked out a date for its glorious entrance into the field: Oct. 26. Unfortunately, that is the farthest fans of the wrestling simulation franchise have gotten to in terms of details, which is not so bad seeing that there are still five months to go before it is released.

In as far as the roster and wrestlers to be featured in the game goes, fans could only rely on the rumor mill and actual wrestlers confirming their inclusion, such as Zack Ryder, Sasha Banks, and Rosa Mendes.

Talking to Memphis Cerrito Live Radio Show, WWE announcer Jerry Lawler revealed that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in "WWE 2K16" and his participation will reportedly be a big one. Lawler said there is a 2K Showcase mode dedicated to one of the most notable and legendary characters in the ring and that his broadcast partner Jim Ross will be back with him to recreate Stone Cold's Attitude Era moments in the game.

"We're already working on that. A lot of people ask about my old broadcast partner. They're having in this year's game, a big Stone Cold Steve Austin Attitude Era section and they have me and J.R. back together again in the studio doing voice-overs for that," Lawler revealed.

This news will surely excite fans of the game. Stone Cold's inclusion has been ardently wished for and, at the same time, long expected by fans simply because the fighter is such an icon in the wrestling ring.

Retailer giant Gamestop, on the other hand, has posted a listing of "WWE 2K16," giving a gist of what the highly-anticipated installment has in store for gamers. And if this is accurate, which is likely the case, then the brand new title will be a major upgrade from its predecessor.

"The authority in WWE video games returns with WWE 2K16! The newest addition to the flagship WWE franchise will deliver authentic, high-powered and hard-hitting action, including fan-favourite features and new WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends, gameplay innovations, presentation updates and more," Gamestop described in a listing.

This is understood as "WWE 2K16" bearing more features, keeping the great ones fans love and enjoy, and boasting an improved and innovated gameplay as well as an enhanced, possibly more realistic presentation.
