'WWE 2K16' news: Last 23 wrestlers named

With barely a month to go before "WWE 2K16" hits shelves, the latest word on the said game is that the final and massive roster is finally complete with the recent addition of 23 more characters.

The roster count bumps up the number of possible wrestlers appearing for "WWE 2K16" to 123, pretty much higher than what "WWE 2K15" had to offer. And despite the humongous lineup, one cannot help but criticize some of the choices.

That includes the inclusion of Pillman who didn't exactly make waves in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Road Dogg and Rob Van Dam were surprisingly left out, although Whipwreck could somehow make up for that. The addition of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat should be something equally interesting as well, knowing how exciting and energetic he was during his prime.

Do recall that it was mentioned before that there would be no retro versions of characters. Apparently, that did not cover alter egos seeing the Big Show having another character in Paul Wight; the Undertaker getting three editions; and Stephanie McMahon having two versions of herself in the game.

With the lineup taking shape, more information on gameplay will hopefully come out.

Some of the lingering rumors up in the air include that of a more provocative content and a new submission system. Whatever other improvements are lined up for the upcoming game, here is hoping that 2K game developers seriously took into consideration that complaints and suggestions made by fans after a disappointing "WWE 2K15."
