With less than a week away from the release of "WWE 2K16," 2K Sports released a blazing new ad where WWE superstars "gather 'round the fire to raise some hell." The fighters are seen creating a bigger fire out of mementos of their rivals that reminded them of a painful past.

The ritual is started by cover star Steve Austin. Other superstars like Sting and Seth Rollins followed. WWE Diva Paige was also there to burn a part of her history as well as Kane, who wore long locks, his iconic red and black mask and his old, definitely more menacing costume.

As 2K Sports details, the unique "WWE 2K16" commercial means more than just tossing random objects on to the fire. The wrestlers are putting "offerings on the flames to overcome the trials of their pasts." As Dual Shockers pointed out, doing such will guarantee victory in the future.

The trailer also shows video game versions of the matches the fighters hark back to for the last time before watching a reminder of these very battles reduced into ashes. As the fighters replay these moments, they look ahead into a more promising future in the ring.
