The latest "WWE 2K16" downloadable content (DLC) pack is currently causing some problems related to the game's save files.

While the new "Future Stars" DLC pack is supposed to be a positive addition to the game, such does not appear to be the case for everyone.

To be specific, the problems related to the new DLC pack are affecting "WWE 2K16's" Universe mode.

As GameSpot reported, there are, apparently, two types of problems that are being caused by the new DLC.

The first kind of problem is one that leads to Universe mode reverting back to where it was prior to the new DLC being installed. This means that any progress a player makes in Universe mode is being wiped out by the new DLC, and they are being forced to go back to the same starting point they had prior to adding the new content.

The other kind of problem being presented by the new "WWE 2K16" is said to be even more troublesome.

According to some players, the save files they have for Universe mode are just being erased altogether.

2K has already acknowledged the existence of the problems, and they have also discovered that only the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One ports of "WWE 2K16" are being affected.

In light of this, 2K has advised players using those consoles to wait until they fully resolve the issue before they download the "Future Stars" DLC pack.

Unfortunately, 2K did not indicate whether or not they could still do something about the data that has already been lost due to the issue.

This is the second consecutive year that a "WWE 2K" game has suffered from save file issues, according to Games Radar+.

Players can only hope that this kind of issue does not pop up yet again with the next installment of the series.

More news about "WWE 2K16" should be made available in the near future.
