'WWE 2K16' news: Season Pass, 2K and Walmart team up for game's Early Access Tour

2K Games

"WWE 2K16" has the biggest rosters of fighters under its belt, but that it is about to be upsized with the season pass for the wrestling simulation game. 2K Sports promises 30 additional wrestlers, some of whom are legends and the others featured in the sport's current lineup.

There's no info on who those characters will be. The only hint given is that they are WWE Legends and NXT Superstars. It is insane how 2K Sports can add more wrestlers knowing that there will be more than 120 fighters to be made available in the game.

In line with this addition, the "WWE 2K16" season pass will also offer 30 new moves and a WWE Showcase campaign starring a WWE Hall of Famer whose identity wasn't revealed. Whoever it will be, he or she will be featured in seven matches.

Lastly, the 2K Accelerator will also be included. As described in the Xbox Store, this feature allows players to "decide the overall rankings and attribute levels of every WWE Superstar, Legend and Diva in the game."

The Accelerator also gives them the power to basically "unlock every WWE Superstar, Legend, and Diva, including alternate attires and all arenas and championships in 'WWE 2K16.'"

According to Uproxx, the "WWE 2K16" will be priced $30. The listed release date is Oct. 27, the same day the title comes out. Buying the season pass will help users save 20 percent as opposed to buying the additional content individually, which will all be released by March 2016.

Meanwhile, 2K has partnered with Walmart to promote the Early Access Tour, where demos for the game will be conducted.

Today, it is at Vine St, Eastlake, Ohio and 71 Southpark Blvd, Colonial Heights, Virginia. Tomorrow, it will be at 10000 Brookpark Rd in Cleveland and 315 Furr St. in South Hill, Virginia. Check out the branches Walmart is headed here.

"WWE 2K16" will be released on Oct. 27.
