WWE 2K17 - Goldberg2K Games

2K Games has just released a brand-new teaser trailer that confirms Bill Goldberg will be added to the roster of "WWE 2K17" as a pre-order DLC character. The trailer showcases several police officers driving to an unknown location, breaking Goldberg out and then escorting him to what fans believe to be the WWE fighting arena.

Goldberg explained on the official WWE website that this marked a crucial return to the WWE. It is noted that he now joins the ranks of the few wrestlers who have been honored as pre-order exclusive DLC characters such as WWE Hall of Fame members Sting and the Ultimate Warrior and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"It's a dream come true. To be able to come back and be included in 'WWE 2K17,' it's a huge honor," Goldberg exclaimed on the official site. "It's just a really cool deal to be a character in 'WWE 2K17.' Whether it's Nitro or Halloween Havoc, to have me as an available character, it's really cool. It's a tribute."

Goldberg started in the 1990s as a professional NFL player, but after a serious injury stopped him from playing, he began training in mixed martial arts and was eventually discovered by Sting. He began his wrestling career in WCW where he earned a reputation for the alleged 173-0 winning streak and then moved on to the WWE.

During his tenure at the WWE, the announcement states, Goldberg managed to go up against some of the most iconic WWE superstars such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Brock Lesnar, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H. His last match was back in 2004, during Wrestlemania 20 in a fight against Lesnar.

"WWE 2K17" is scheduled to launch in October and while a specific release date has not yet been announced it is speculated to release by Oct. 25, the last Tuesday of the month.
