With the next installment for the "WWE" series by 2K Games reportedly in development, fans are already wondering which superstar will grace its cover. Some observers believe that at the top of the list of eligible "WWE" stars is Shane McMahon.

According to The Bitbag, the fans' reactions to Shane-O-Mac in a recent RAW episode show the increasing popularity of the rising superstar. The industry follower said that since the episode, more fans have been following Vince McMahon's son and his career and are also looking forward to his future matches. Of particular interest to "WWE" fans is the upcoming "Wrestlemania 32," which will take place early next month.

The rising fame of the younger McMahon is also evident in the odds being given to his upcoming "Wrestlemania" event. According to Wrestling Inc., while McMahon will be pitted against franchise veteran Undertaker, the new star is still holding his own against his rival, an event favorite. Along with the Undertaker, other "Wrestlemania 32" favorites are Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

"Wrestlemania 32" will be held on April 3.

Roman Reigns is also listed as one of the possible cover stars for "WWE 2K17." According to What Culture, Reigns is also one of the fastest-rising superstars in the "WWE" franchise. The industry observer also said that "The Big Dog" is one of the many faces that 2K Games wants to use to promote the franchise, and having Reigns on the cover will be a plus for the fans.

Meanwhile, for "WWE 2K17," although new superstars will grace the cover, the follow-up installment will still see the return of veteran superstars. One of the rumored comebacks in the upcoming game installment is by Bill Goldberg. According to Breathecast, Goldberg has been asked if he will be returning for "WWE 2K17," to which the wrestling superstar replied, "I think I've heard (that rumor)."
