"WWE 2K17" has a long list of rumored superstars to join its roster but the official list is still very short. The official WWE website has released the first part of that list but as of the time of writing, it only confirms five of the many rumored playable characters.

As stated on the website, the current official roster members include Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Ultimate Warrior, Sasha Banks and two versions of Bill Goldberg. There is no indication when the second and third part of the full roster might be unveiled; however, it is likely to be soon given that the game is set to launch this October.

Fans speculate that Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and some of the Devas will be added to the roster and there are rumors that the game will also include many classic WWE members that have since retired or only return to the ring for special events such as Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Although the full list is still a mystery, a digital copy of the game has now been confirmed to be available for pre-order and pre-download but only for the Xbox One port. The Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 versions can still pre-order the physical copy of the game via retailers such as Gamestop and Amazon.

Xbox's Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson made the announcement on the offiical site, confirming that Xbox One owners can find the game listed on the Xbox Live marketplace. There is the standard edition for $59.99 and the Deluxe Edition for $89.99 and this comes with the Season Pass for future DLC packs and expansions.

Xbox One players can then pre-download the game and have it installed on their console but they won't be able to access and play it until the game officially launches this Oct. 11.
