2K sports has been working really hard to make their "WWE 2K" franchise as realistic as possible so gamers can enjoy an authentic WWE experience, which is why a bunch of new additions to "WWE 2K17" was included to up the ante, including new OMG moments.

For this year's installment of "WWE 2K," 2K sports took over from THQ with the goal of making "WWE 2K17's" gameplay the perfect mix between a simulation game and a fighting game. This is a goal that's somewhat difficult to execute, especially since too much of a simulation gameplay will make the game feel predictable and boring, and too much of a fighting game style can make the game feel less authentic.

For "WWE 2K17," 2K sports decided to go with a My Career mode similar to that of "WWE 2016," especially since the My Career mode turned out to be a huge success in the previous installments of the "WWE 2K" franchise.

One familiar My Career mode feature included in this year's installment is the player's ability to create a wrestler from scratch, a character that the player can use for fights in the WWE Performance Center.

What's different about "WWE 2K17's" My Career mode is that players can now choose to become Paul Heyman's protege. Doing so can lead the player's character to team up with wrestler athlete Brock Lesnar, otherwise, players will have to go against Lesnar later on in the main event of WrestleMania.

One thing that "WWE 2K17" will not be including is the Showcase Mode that provides players with a wrestler's story. However, wrestling matches will have an added source of action instead through OMG moments.

An OMG moment is considered a turning point of a single match. OMG moments are basically the signature move executions of certain characters, and such OMG moments feature Kevin Owens' powerbomb, Sasha Banks' top rope double knees, and New Day's stomp stampede.

What's more is that OMG moments are not confined to single matches. OMG moments are also present in tag team matches, ladder matches, and even back stage brawls.

"WWE 2K17" will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 11 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The game will be sold in three editions, namely the regular edition, the digital deluxe edition, and the NXT edition.
