WWE is gathering as many superstars as it can in preparation for the brand split. The latest WWE brand split rumor is that more former WWE superstars are getting some calls from the company.

Three of these are Carlito, MVP and Stevie Richards, who are no longer affiliated with WWE. With Raw and SmackDown in need of a full roster, WWE is contacting even "40+ year old guys," as per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer.

It is unknown if Carlito, MVP and Richards will be back for the WWE brand split, but some fans are excited to see the past WWE superstars back in the ring.

Meanwhile, there is also word of John Morrison helping WWE with the brand split. Just like the abovementioned speculation, this is yet to be corroborated.

What's sure is that Goldberg, although he is in the "WWE 2K17" game, won't be back for the WWE brand split. In a recent interview with 411 Mania, he clarified one thing about his involvement with the company.

"WWE has not called me to be a part of any roster. My relationship with WWE stands with the video game and the video game only," he confirmed.

In another interview, with The Miami Herald, he said that it is not for him to say if the game "is a precursor to me doing something else with WWE in the future," adding that this "wasn't my way to weasel into another match."

Meanwhile, more NXT superstars are being linked to the WWE brand split. At the top of the list is Finn Balor, who is reportedly a surefire draft to the main roster.

Other NXT fighters expected to take part in the WWE brand split are Samoa Joe, American Alpha and Shinsuke Nakamura and Bayley.

For those who were hoping that former NXT women's champion Bayley will join the WWE brand split fan, it looks like that won't be the case since she will be up for a title match to reclaim her title instead.
