Despite the sudden push that Dean Ambrose has been getting, Roman Reigns is expected to stay the course and win the Triple-Threat No. 1 Contender's Match at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Fastlane which will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio this Sunday. Winning the match would earn him the spot to challenge WWE world heavyweight champion Triple H at WrestleMania 32.

Strangely, the past few WWE shows have focused on Ambrose, leading many to tinker with the idea that a change in script could be in store.

It is no secret that the Lunatic Fringe has been a hit with the WWE fans, but such would leave the buildup on Reigns.

The situation is no different from WWE Fastlane 2015. Last year, it was the returning Daniel Bryan who complicated things. Known as another fan favorite, Bryan would eventually lose to Reigns and when the smoke cleared, the respect between the two capped the evening.

Would this be the same scenario if Reigns pulls out a win? If so, it would not be surprising. Ambrose and Reigns could still end up as friends, although there are rumors claiming that one will turn heel before the night is over.

Where does such leave Brock Lesnar?

Dominant and powerful as he may be, Lesnar is expected to be taken out of the equation with Bray Wyatt and his troops costing him the title shot.

This angle is nothing new since many have seen the developing feud between the Beast and the Wyatts. It won't be surprising if the sidelight steals the show, which technically makes the whole match a one-on-one most likely toward the climax of the main event.

If Ambrose does indeed lose again, don't be surprised if he ends up chasing his intercontinental title once more.

Kevin Owens holds the intercontinental title right now after winning it via that Fatal Five-Way match at WWE Raw. He will be defending it against Dolph Ziggler, but the belief is that the brash Canadian will retain his title over the Showoff.

WWE Fastlane will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena this Sunday starting at 8 p.m. EST. It will be aired live via the WWE Network.
