Sting may be down and out right now after suffering a serious injury at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Night of Champions. Just the same, he is finally being given his due with reports that the former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) legend and current WWE star will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2016.

Sting, Steve Borden in real life, will be inducted at a ceremony that is set for the American Airlines Center in Dallas during WrestleMania week, with fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair reportedly being the one to induct his comrade.

Sting made his mark on the WWE's rival brand and it was only last year when he finally joined the WWE bandwagon. He was part of WrestleMania 31 where he faced Triple H and then Seth Rollins in the latter part of 2015.

There were rumored plans to hold a tiff involving Sting and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 but all that was shot down when WWE chairman Vince McMahon was not sold on the idea.

Regardless, Sting wouldn't have been able to compete at WrestleMania 32 anyway, following the unfortunate events at WWE Night of Champions when he was battling Rollins for the WWE heavyweight title.

Though he will not compete, Sting will technically be part of WrestleMania 32 which seems to be unpredictable at this point.

Aside from Sting, the WWE has to deal with a lot of injured wrestlers and make do with the personnel resources available backstage.

Also out are Seth Rollins (the same man Sting last fought), Cesaro, Randy Orton, and Daniel Bryan who are all out with varying injuries.

Sting was elated with the news of him being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and eventually shared his joy via Twitter.
