Some media outfits believe that a top veteran is making a comeback for WrestleMania 34.

WCW Champion Bill Goldberg is reportedly being invited to redeem his name after losing out to Brock Lesnar earlier this year. The 50-year-old wrestler is said to be actively training, as if expecting an upcoming ring match.

According to Inquisitr, if it is indeed true that Goldberg is making a comeback, WWE would have to find another huge name for the match of a lifetime. That huge name might just be wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, more commonly known as Batista.

According to reports, WWE is already in talks for a full-time return for "The Animal." That means some three to six months of ring battles and a wrestle in WWE's grandest stage. Rumor has it that Batista is hoping for a big match with Triple H, but hopeful fans believe he will be fighting Goldberg for the WrestleMania 34 stage instead.

Goldberg was on a 12-year wrestling break when he was called back to WWE to headline the Survivor Series against Lesnar. He also battled Kevin Owens in the Fastlane, where he won the prestigious WWE Universal Championship title.

It was originally one huge retirement match, but became a six-month run on WWE. After losing to Lesnar at WrestleMania 33, Goldberg made it clear that he was still open to return in the future.

Earlier reports believe that Goldberg has also been invited to join the Monday Night Raw's 25th anniversary in January. Add to that the high speculation that he will be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in New Orleans next year.

No matter what the rumors are, media outlets look very positive that Goldberg is poised to return to the ring in 2018.

Goldberg is the top star of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in the 90s. He holds the longest winning streak in professional wrestling after a lengthy undefeated streak in singles competition from 1997 to 1998.
