The latest World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) return rumors are hinting that former WWE Divas Champion Mickie James is returning to the fold following the brand split.

James is one of the free agents that WWE listed on its website as the hottest "on the market right now." The site imagines the five-time Women's Champion battle it out with some of the biggest names in the WWE Women's division today.

"New blood has invigorated the Women's division in WWE, but few would argue that seeing a veteran like Mickie James come to Raw or SmackDown Live to square off with the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte or Becky Lynch wouldn't be a sight to behold," WWE said.

Prior to this, there were no indications of James returning to WWE. However, it appears that she is very much aware of the news. She has even been retweeting fan reactions should she make a WWE comeback.

James is still very much busy with wrestling after she was released from WWE back in 2010. She appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) after she left WWE.

She currently appears in Pro Live Wrestling and House of Glory Wrestling, where she even works with former WWE talents such as Jeff and Matt Hardy and Carlito, who are also rumored to return.

Whether or not James was contacted by WWE remains to be seen. However, it looks like there is considerable support for that. However, James is yet to talk about the possibility.

After all, the WWE Women's division both in is in need of more superstars for both Raw and Smackdown Live. Also, James might be of great help to the decline in viewership of both the brands.

Closing in on the first month since the brand split, the number of viewers tuning in is decreasing. It is more challenging for Raw as it competes with the Olympics 2016 broadcast.

Either way, the viewers decrease every week and adding more superstars like James might help out.
