Late last month, former pro-wrestler Phillip Jack Brooks, more popularly known for his ring name "CM Punk," announced that he will make his debut as a UFC fighter on September 10, when he will face off with Mickey Gall at UFC 203.

While fans are excited to see CM Punk step into the octagon, many are still wondering if the retired wrestler, once considered to be the longest-reigning WWE champion of the modern era, will ever go back to pro-wrestling.

Well, here's some bad news: in a recent interview with ESPN, CM Punk said he is not keen on returning to pro-wrestling, especially now that he is already starting out as a mixed martial artist.

But don't fret just yet. In the same interview, CM Punk did not entirely close his doors on going back to professional wrestling.

"No, I don't think so. But it is one of those "never say never" things. I like to cover all my bases, just so some internet dweeb is going to be like, 'you said you'd never wrestle again!' But WWE? No. Absolutely not. But you never know, I could pop up here and there," CM Punk said, as quoted by WrestlingInc.com.

"Let me explain that to you even better... it's not going to even be televised, it's going to be me in a ninja f--king outfit wrestling one of my buddies and nobody's ever going to know. It's going to be very 'Monty Python' so to speak," the former pro-wrestler added.

For now, CM Punk is keeping himself busy filming a documentary that is expected to be aired before his UFC debut.

According to WhatCulture.com, film director Rory Karpf posted a photo on his official Twitter account showing the former wrestling icon and his wife, AJ Lee, behind the scenes of the documentary entitled "Evolution of Punk," which will be aired on Fox Sports.
