WWE Royal Rumble rumors: Would 'the Rock' winning the Battle Royal make sense?

WWE followers may be pushing their luck a bit these days, especially after Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson confirmed that he would be around when "Wrestlemania 32" happens at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas this April.

"The Rock" has also spurred up some excitement as well, saying that he has a treat for WWE fans at the big WWE PPV. With that said, many are expecting him to not only appear but likely compete in a match, though such remains unconfirmed.

Now, that WWE extravaganza is still months away. The immediate WWE PPV happening is the 2016 edition of the WWE Royal Rumble. And now there are speculations that "the Rock" could be among the 29 WWE stars out to dethrone WWE heavyweight champion Roman Reigns, as reported by Bleacher Report.

Though it seems like wishful thinking, considering the busy schedule of "the Rock" in Hollywood, such could be probable. But if the Rock wins it all, will it make sense?

For one, "the Rock" is unlikely to commit appearing at WWE shows, though the creative team could create some twists and divert the fans attention on the storyline and not the actual WWE title. "The Rock" as champion could be good publicity but somehow it just doesn't add up.

Insurance issues were in the air when word came out of a possible match for "the Rock" at "Wrestlemania 32," though all that seemed to have been ironed out.

For the Royal Rumble, the risk of injury is seen as lower since there will be a lot of action going on with "the Rock" likely to make it through without much physicality.

Right now, it would be safe to say that it is a possibility, though it would be best not to get hopes up. The WWE does need help but probably not at the expense of risking Johnson's Hollywood niche.
