WWE rumors 2014: Match predictions, Jake The Snake's condition, and the death of a former wrestler

Wrestling aficionados are probably excited for the upcoming events that will take place in WWE, and news are starting to come one by one.

According to DNA, the WWE Night of Champions is set on Sept. 21, and eight pairs of fighters had already been matched while others will be announced soon.

Some of the predictions for the upcoming pay-per-view event include:

Chris Jericho versus Randy Orton's match

Last week on RAW, Orton suddenly attacked Jericho out of nowhere. Apparently, Jericho's stint with WWE is almost over now and that he will be joining his band Fozzy soon. This could mean that Orton has a lot to gain from this match.

John Cena versus Brock Lesnar's match

The feud between Cena and Lesnar had been going on for quite a while. Fans are not expecting to see a long match between the two, but somebody could interfere during the match. Though this is not confirmed yet, WWE fans might see Paul Heyman or someone who will next stand against Cena.

Meanwhile, legendary WWE start Jake "The Snake" Roberts announced via his Twitter account that his health is greatly improving after his recent trip to the hospital.

"Wow, what a scary couple of weeks. So appreciative to be alive & on the mend. Thank u all for the love and support. I will keep you posted," the wrestling star tweeted.

"Need a bit more time to recover. I will be back to normal & out there thanking all of you for the kindness and support in a couple weeks," Jake The Snake added.

The Snake was rushed to the hospital because of an apparent double pneumonia, only to find out that he has another bout with cancer.

On a sad note, former WWE wrestler Sean O'Haire was found dead in his South Carolina home on Sept. 12.

His father discovered O'Haire's body hanging lifelessly in his own home. At this point, the local police had ruled out any suspicions of foul play in his death.

O'Haire made his wrestling debut in WCW back in 2000, where he managed to win three tag team championships with partner Chuck Palumbo. Then he joined WWE as the protégé of Rowdy Roddy Piper.
