WWE rumors 2015: Roman Reigns shares how he dealt with negativity, Brock Lesnar, and more

Roman Reigns is someone who practically had to go through everything and the route was certainly not easy.

He looked like the perfect wrestler, someone who could easily run roughshod over anyone. He seemed too perfect that fans found his character uninteresting and such eventually became a struggle for him.

At the start of the year, he was already mapped out as the next face of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He was being groomed to be the successor of John Cena but the WWE Universe wasn't ready to accept him just yet.

That all started with his triumph at the WWE Royal Rumble, something that went sour. For some reason, the fans weren't ready for the Reigns era and the WWE had to do several things to make it work.

An interview with WWE.com shows Reigns shedding light on his rise. He weighs in on several things, including the need for him to adjust and come out fighting to give the WWE universe a good show.

And his epic clash with Brock Lesnar is a testimony. Despite the looming fact that he may not be a champion by the end of the night, he still carried on as professional as he could and with his parent seated right at ringside.

He needed a lot of work from there and, apparently, the fruits started to show at WWE TLC (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs). He took a different turn and a "frustrated" Reigns' character seemed to be working. It didn't take long before Reigns would be champion and the monkey finally off his back.

Right now, the Reigns era is not yet complete. He will need more help from Cena and maybe even Seth Rollins to establish himself as the new WWE face. With that said, Reigns will likely become the Top Dog once Rollins returns, probably in mid-2016.
