WWE rumors 2016: Hulk Hogan chances of returning depend on timing

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has been groping for form with most of its main roster stars out on injury. John Cena and Seth Rollins lead the cast, raising some questions on whether the WWE has enough time to push the mid-card stars or get some old faces fill in until the regular stars return to active duty.

One name that comes up is Hulk Hogan. The WWE legend has, of course, been banned and fired by the WWE for the racist remarks and sex tapes that came out, but it is the former that really did him in.

Hogan has repeatedly apologized and has lost considerable income ever since he was fired. He has shown remorse, although it remains to be seen if the WWE is ready to forgive him and get him back on board.

Hogan would have been set to wrestle his last match at WrestleMania 32 had it not been for the racial slurs. Everything seemed set as plans for his official retirement match were in the works.

But with the current state of the WWE, could the company work back and book Hogan for the extravaganza?

The rumor mill indicates two things; one is that Hogan could be returning at WrestleMania and the other is after the big event in Dallas.

So either way, the bottom line is that Hogan could be returning to the WWE scene. It is just a matter of when.

Being a rumor from the Wrestling Observer newsletter, it may or may not happen. What is more puzzling is the intent of bringing back Hogan after WrestleMania 32.

The point here is that by that time, the likes of Cena, Rollins, or even Randy Orton could very well be 80 to 90 percent ready to return to the roster. So timing would be key if Hogan is indeed returning.

Once fans see the injured stars re-appearing, the likelihood of Hogan returning is likely to dim from there.
