Another World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) NXT star could be moved up to the main roster soon.

Former Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and Ring of Honor star Samoa Joe signed up with the WWE in May 2015 for the NXT brand but may soon follow the lead of Kevin Owens.

Plans for such will reportedly take place after WrestleMania 32, according to a Wrestling Observer newsletter.

Joe made his mark in the TNA which includes a memorable title reign and a winning streak. Even though he is already 36 years of age, it will be interesting what the WWE plans for him.

A likely rival could be Owens, the same person he started to feud with when he invaded the WWE NXT last year. There is also possibly a good angle for him and another recent acquisition, A.J. Styles, seeing the two had crossed paths before.

There is no timetable for Joe's jump, although it may take a while. Right now, the word out is that he will be feuding with Finn Balor and most likely end up winning the NXT title.

If that happens, his entry into the WWE main roster could kick off from there. Owens went the same route, appearing on the WWE regular show and challenging John Cena in the process. Owens still had the WWE NXT belt at that time, so Joe could probably do the same.

Aside from the move, it will be interesting to see if Joe would be setting his sights on a possible WWE title. He could make a serious run for the U.S. title currently held by Kalisto or even the Intercontinental title of Dean Ambrose.

A lot will depend on what happens after WrestleMania 32, wherein Ambrose holds a curious case. Despite Triple H and Roman Reigns being groomed for the WWE spectacle, Ambrose has become a fan favorite that could alter that plan.

A good answer to that would be at WWE Fastlane wherein Ambrose faces his buddy Reigns as well as Brock Lesnar to determine the number one contender for Triple H's world heavyweight title.
